New Volunteer Training

Looking for a rewarding opportunity to give back and help others? Consider being a hospice volunteer!
Right now we are looking for volunteers to work at the reception desk at the Hospice of the Panhandle inpatient facility in Kearneysville during daily visiting hours.
Reception desk volunteers:
- Greet visitors and help them sign in and out,
- Assure that visitors complete COVID screening (asking questions and taking temperatures), and
- May answer the phone and direct calls.
At this time, visiting hours at the inpatient facility are 10 a.m. – noon and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. every day of the week. Reception desk volunteers would need to be available during those times. You can volunteer for a shift when it suits your schedule.
All new volunteers must complete a background check.
