The inpatient facility offers:
Advanced medical care for uncontrolled pain or symptoms (general inpatient care),
Short-term care for hospice patients whose caregivers need a break (respite care), and
Residential care for hospice patients.
Hospice patients at the inpatient facility benefit from:
Low patient to staff ratio,
Staff specifically trained to handle hard-to-control pain and symptoms, and
A family-friendly environment.

14 private rooms featuring radiant floor heat, private bath and pullout sofa so that families may stay in the room

Meals customized to the patient's preferences (Meals are also available to visitors for minimal cost.)

Paying for a stay at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility
Medicare and most private insurance plans pay for general inpatient and respite care at the Inpatient Facility. If you do not have Medicare or a private insurance plan that will cover general inpatient or respite care, a hospice social worker will work with you to make arrangement to pay your bill.
