Helping Hearts

Independence. Dignity. Comfort. Affordable care.

Hospice is about not giving up what's important to you.
Hospice care is about living the best way you can, despite serious illness. Hospice patients continue to live in their own homes, spend time with family and friends and do many of the things that they enjoy.

With hospice care, a person with an advanced illness can have:
  • Independence as care is directed by the patient and family,

  • Dignity and respect,

  • Less pain and fewer symptoms through expert medical care and

  • Affordable care in the privacy of their own home.

Hospice at home, wherever that may be.

At Hospice of the Panhandle, we provide professional medical care and volunteer support to people in the last stages of serious illnesses. Our goal is to provide excellent care so that our patients remain comfortable in their own homes and as independent as possible.

Our patients benefit from:
  • A care team built to meet your needs,

  • Nurses and other team members available by phone 24-hours a day, 7 days a week,

  • Care received where you live including in private homes, nursing facilities and assisted living communities,

  • Avoiding being hospitalized by having medical care available at home and being able to visit our own inpatient facility which provides hospital-like care in a personal setting,

  • Medicines & medical supplies* which may include oxygen, hospital bed, wheelchair, walker and more, and

  • Grief support and counseling for issues related to the challenges faced by a family dealing with a serious illness.
